Hello Nev! I First want to say I love the show with all my heart and it made me think about things I've done in the past. I use to cat fish and in a way, I can understand how many cat fish feel when they say they do it because they feel accepted and liked, something that lacks in their real life. But through the show you can see how hurtful it can be. I wanted to ask if you guys have any tips for revealing yourself. As one who did it before, I can say it is terrifying and really hard.
My advice would be to write a letter. Take some time to put down all your thoughts carefully and compassionately and in writing, then send it to the person you are lying to. Let them know that you understand if they are upset and give them the option to reach out to you if and when they are ready. Of course, they may not, but at least you know you did the right thing and you can avoid a negative confrontation.
